ITINERARY
Day 1
Travel to London Heathrow by complimentary private car (within 50 miles) in time for your British Airways scheduled flight to Dubai.
Day 2-3
Arrive in Dubai and privately transfer by four –wheel drive to the Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa amongst the rolling dunes of Dubai’s golden desert – your base for the next 2 nights. Enjoy the authentically-styled Bedouin encampment deep in the Al Maha reserve which is the venue for the Dune Dinners, offering a feast of traditional dishes, including Middle Eastern Mezze. Live cooking over charcoal fires offers up a host of other delectable options. Arabic music, Arabic coffee, Moroccan sweet mint tea and shisha pipes complete a truly memorable experience. (B,L,D)
Day 4
Continue your journey through the Margham desert dunes until you reach the rugged Hajar mountain range. Here you will travel through the dry stone valleys (wadis) with the dramatic mountainscape surrounds. Beyond the town of Dibba you will cross into the Oman and soon traverse up the mountainside until you reach the pass where the views down to Zighy Bay are breathtaking. You may choose to alight here and hang-glide down to the resort – an adrenaline filled experience unique to this fabulous resort.(B)
Day 5-8
At leisure to relax and enjoy the facilities of the Evason Hideaway. You may choose to take one of the many exciting and private innovative excursions into the local mountains, or explore the terrain on mountain bike. Half day excursions are on offer to explore the surrounding area including the village of Al Bidiya, famous for its dimunitive mosque, or visit the Oasis of Hijar Bani Hamid with its prolific abundance of mangoes, date palms and tobacco plants. The Emirate of Fujairah nearby holds a particularly busy fish market and is surrounded also by spice and fruit stalls. The historic quarter has recently been restored and its 17th century fort displays a fascinating little museum with finds from archaeological digs in the area. (B)
Day 9
Transfer to Dubai airport for your British Airways scheduled flight to London arriving the same day or extend for further nights in Zighy Bay or in the buzzing Emirate of Dubai. Your chauffeur will meet you on arrival in the UK and transfer you back to your home within a 50 mile radius of the airport. (B)
